Busy Busy Summer

So far this summer we have been to the zoo three time swimming a few times and playing outside allot!! Unlike in years past I really need to get my Camera out more!

Today was Charlie's last day of school before Summer vacation. I am so excited and a bit sad. Excited that we will get to hang out and do some fun things, Sad because when did my baby boy go up? I swear I blinked and he went from that itty bitty baby that we brought home from the hospital to an big 9 year old.

Field Trip

Almost forgot to post that this past Monday Charlie grade level all went to Big Joel's Safari, after that his buddy's mom signed his buddy out and I signed Charlie out then we went to a park for a picnic lunch and some playground time.

Evie has this little bike that my parents bought her, I guess Daddy didn't think when we bought it home that it would get much use. But the child rides it everyday!! Some days she will not walk around the house she rides her bike wherever she needs and wants to go.

This morning Charlie went with some friends to a  Greenway Network sponsored stream clean up.  It was a chilly morning but he said he had fun and he even came
 home with his treasure find of a deer jaw.

Happy Easter

Is anyone out there.....

well my blog has really fell to the way side. So much has happened in the many many months since I have done anything with this.  I am hoping to get back to blogging more but I can not promise that will happen.  This past week Charlie has been on spring break and we have had some fun and done some relaxing too. This past Tuesday we went with friend to Elephant Rocks State Park and to Taum Sauk Park. We had a great time at Elephant Rocks and we had a good time at Taum Sauk I had the great ideal to hike to the waterfall. Lets just say it was not the best plan with 7 kids. They trail started out this nice rocked path but turned into some rugged terrain, I was very proud of Charlie as he did the entire 3  mile hike without complaint even when others were. My boy is really growing up! It breaks my heart and fills it at the same time.  Here are a few picture's from our day
