Apple picking...

well Charlie has been asking to go apple picking for months. Well it not apple season yet but we did get a chance to go peach and blackberry picking this morning, the fruits were very plentiful at Wind Ridge Farm in New Melle, MO. We asked him he wanted to go peach picking and he told us no apple picking. We explained that they do not have any apple right now but we could pick peaches and blackberries. Then he wanted to pick Apples and Strawberries. But we just kept telling him it was Peaches, blackberries and maybe blueberries. So then on the car ride he would say things like... I can wait to get to the farm, We are going to pick peaches, what is Daddy going to pick. We were shocked at the number of people waiting in line when we arrived and almost changed our minds about going. But we went on and discover that we were early and just had to wait a few minutes. We were on the first wagon out to the peach trees. Daddy and Charlie are champion peach pickers and filled two peck very quickly. On the ride in the wagon to pick peaches we could see the blackberries. I told Chaz I thought we would have to pick some because they were huge the bushes were plentiful. So we hoped the wagon back up to the front and received a tray and containers to pick Blackberries. Daddy was waiting to pay for peaches (which we found out they will put your name on and hold them while you pick other things). But Charlie and I went ahead, Now i but Blackberries because Chaz and I both like them and Charlie has never enjoyed them he will try them but spits them out and says they are yucky. I gave him a container to put his picked berries in ad tell him to pick the black ones not red. Well he grabs a huge berry and goes to take a bite and looks at me I think wait to be told no. I say go ahead take a bite it OK. He bites the berry juice starts running down his chin and he looks at me and says "yummy" that started Charlies eating of berries while Moppy and Daddy picked them!
