Snow Day
This morning at 5:20 AM the school called to say it was a snow day and we would make the day up on Monday. (So I have been up since then) We didn't get much snow and after growing up in MI and living in MN it is laughable that they actually called a snow day for this little bit of snow!! Charlie was so excited when he stumbled into the living room around 7, eyes still not open more then a slit and I told him it was a snow day, school is closed ! He ran to the window to see the snow and then to wake up Daddy and tell him we had lots of snow "at least hundred pounds". Charlie and I went out in the back yard and played a little bit. He tried out his snowboard Santa brought him. Then at lunch time Daddy took us to the Quail Ridge Park to go sledding, it was too cold (18 with 20-30 mph winds) to spend much time out. Daddy then took us to a nice lunch at the Olive Garden and then home we came where Charlie begged to play out some more. We let him go and told him he could play for 20 mins. He was out almost the full 20 minutes when I heard him coming up the deck stairs. He couldn't get the door open with his gloves on and started yelling "help mommy help me". Something tells me we will go out once again today before it gets dark but we will see. We are suppose to go to swim lesson tonight but the roads still are not the best and as the sun goes down it isn't going to get any better so we are going to skip tonight's class.

Lego Building
Charlie LOVE'S Lego's!! For the longest time this meant I spent allot of time building this of that and a day or two later you couldn't recognize what it was I built. Well as of lately Moppy has been stepping back and letting him do more of the building ratter then give him the mini figures and sending to play while I or Daddy build the bigger thing. Today he returned a Christmas gift and shopped the clearance toys and found a great deal on the "Rise of the Sphinx". Well this afternoon and evening he built it with very little help from me or Daddy, since the directions are all in picture's sometimes it is hard to tell where the next piece goes and admittedly sometimes I was wrong and he would point it out. His building skills have greatly improved over the last few months! I am so very proud of what he accomplished.
Sometimes Moppy needs to stand back and let him do things himself. I know this but I also know sometimes I don't do that because it is easier and faster to do it myself. THis is one thing I hope to work on in 2012!!

Owl

Play date with Blake
Well it had been some time since Charlie seen his pal Blake I was so glad when his Mommy called to see if we were free for a play date! We went to play at their house, then a walk in the woods, more playtime and then an ice cream at DQ! Thanks for inviting us!

Lego Jail
Today Charlie received his Lego Club Jr. Magazine, in it they have contest to build something to catch some crooks. You build it and take a picture and send it in. Well Charlie was all excited he built this jail and wanted me to take the picture right away!
Eagles
Today while Charlie was at school I went to Winfield and walked all the river where eagles are known to winter. It was a little cold but so worth it, I wish i would of had a more time but I'll take 40 minutes of eagle watching over cleaning any day!!
