A little snow

Last night we got a little snow on the grass so this morning I took Charlie out to play in the snow. I did take him out a few times last year but I don't think he really remembers it. This year he was thrilled and had a huge fit when it was time to come in.

Resourceful

The other night Charlie came pushing his ball bin though the living room saying "hi Daddy" as he went by and into the kitchen. Where he first put in at the pantry door where he stood on it and knocked on the door then he moved to the sink where he washed his hands. Chaz said he was like a workman walking past with a ladder... nothing out of the ordinary just going about his business.

Here comes Santa...

Well before we know it Christmas will be here! This is going to be a fun year, Charlie loves the ideal of opening presents, he knows who Santa is and Chaz already has him saying "Merry Christmas". Which is so very cute!

I ordered Charlie's big gift online and it will be here in a week or two still waiting for Ryan's wish list, not a clue about what to get my Nephew (hint hint), or Chaz. We need to go buy a tree and I would live to just do like a paper chain, homemade ornaments and string popcorn on it but I think with Charlie's love for popcorn he would get up in the middle of the night and eat it.

Been a quiet blog time... we haven't done much since we came home for Osage Beach. Tomorrow... well I guess really later today we have to get out of the house maybe I can talk Chaz into going to get a Christmas photo taken so I can get our cards done this week.

Home Again...

Sunday we went to Lake of the Ozarks State Park twice. Once in the morning when we walked a little, threw rocks in the water and played on the small playground. Then again in the evening when we played in the leaf's they had in piles, hiked, threw more rocks in the water and played on the larger playground. Oh and in the evening on the way out of the park we seen a owl, raccoon and five deer. After the morning trip to the park we went to Miner Mike's which was a great time with tunnels to climb and then the rides. They have this Train ride that is a mini roller coaster That Charlie LOVED! I really thought that he would ride it once and be done. But as soon as the ride stopped he told Chaz "again". Chaz rode with him three times then they rode the wagon Ferris wheel. I rode the bumper cars and then you guessed it back to the Train for four more rides. Which wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I am the master of waiting to get on the roller coaster and then when it's time for the ride you go to get on and just keep on going. Then it was nap time so back to the resort. In the evening we went to Holiday Magic Drive-Through Light Park which we thought was a rip at $10.00 a car.

Monday... Bummer time to head home... we decided to take the long scenic route. Before we left the Resort Chaz was in the living room and called to me to look out the window that a hawk was soaring right outside the window. Turned out it was a Bald Eagle! Sadly I wasn't able to get the camera in time. While packing it came by again... at that point Chaz said he would never get me to leave. But we did load the car... and headed to the Historic swinging bridge's. We drove over one but I was NOT riding over the other. We also walked them and the longer of the two which had a weight limit of only 5 tons had missing boards missing which left holes that Charlie could of easily fallen though. Then we headed to Vichy, MO to see some property that Chaz's Aunt and Uncle own. More wonderful views and just a nice scenic ride. After that Chaz wanted to go to some other property that the family has but it was as far away as home and after talking about it he decided that would be a trip for another day.

Tuesday Well Charlie woke up at four but Chaz got up with him and I tried to sleep some more but gave up. We watched some TV and just hung out around the house at 10:30 we got ready to go to Incredible Pizza but once in the car Charlie fell asleep before we could get to 70 and Lake St. Louis. So we went to Quizno's for a sub and home to let him sleep. I cleaned out the fridge and made a list of things we still needed for Thanksgiving dinner. After nap time we ran to Wal-mart where not only did we get the things for Thanksgiving dinner but a fish tank and fish. Now we are just waiting for Charlie to name his new fish...

From the Tan-Tar-A Resort

Having a great time on our trip! Our room is nice but, the resort is just crazy with stairs we have to take 8 different set of stairs to get to our room. Yesterday we hung out at the resort and went to the water park. Which we have pretty much to ourselves. To day we went to Ha Ha Tonka State Park which is just beautiful! Then to the Bridal cave which Charlie didn't want to leave. We had a private tour of the cave. There is something to be said for going place's off season. Then we went for a ride and over the Bagnell Dam where we were going to turn around and seen another couple looking at something and taking pictures turned out there where FOUR Bald Eagles just hanging out in a tree!! Absolutely an Amazing sight! Just Love it when wrong turns turn into great surprises! This evening we had dinner at Half Sauced Barbeque which was great food. Wish we had on in Wentzville. Looking forward to what tomorrow brings.

'Tis the season...

OK so it's not even Thanksgiving yet but we did... we went and seen Santa!! Charlie's Friend and future wife (if Molly has her way) Norah is not thrilled with the ideal of Santa so we thought we could do a warm up visit before the fine cloths come out and the Christmas cards are waiting to be printed. Norah agreed to go if Charlie went with her so here it is...

After a few tears Norah did give a smile and Charlie was just like "whatever, let's go play". The cool new thing is they give you your pictures on a little USB thing and release the copyright so you can get all the prints you want made up.
One disappointment was the train lady kept going on break we tried three time and each time she was gone and the time on the clock was changed!! We had a great day with Norah and Molly and hope the will come out again soon!!

Where does he come up with this stuff??

So I am sitting here watching
House and Charlie yells "Help
Momma Help" so I go to
check on him not in any big
rush since that seems to be
his favorite phrase these
days. And this is what I find.

Fun Day

Today we went to the Incredible Pizza Company it was a great time!! They had all kinds of games and the food was wonderful! Charlie ran all around and didn't want to leave. I look forward to going back. It was a little pricey but so worth it since we can't really do too many parks these day with the cold weather.
Here are the pictures Charlie and I did in the photo booth:

Family Time

Well Sunday afternoon we were heading to St. Louis Mills to get out of the house and let Charlie run around and get some exercise. On the Way Charlie started asking in the car "park " , " park please" so we talked about and it didn't feel so bad out that we decided to go. Put Blanchette Park into the GPS because we knew we were near it and were on the way. Then we came onto a new park right by the river and went there instead. We took a nice walk down by the river, then Charlie played on the playground for a while.

I live with Vampire's!

Why is it I am the only one in this house that think when it gets dark out it's time for bed??? The last two night's Charlie has work up around one thirty or two and stayed up to five-five thirty. Well Friday night Chaz was out so I just kept putting him back in bed and telling him it's dark out it's bed time. Then last night I was just beat. Every once in a while my body has just had a enough and I have to sleep and that was last night Chaz was up anyway so I just let him deal with Charlie. He kept putting him back in bed and I guess he did let him lay on the couch for a little while but did NOT turn on the TV. That is the big sticking point with me. This morning Chaz said he doesn't mind dealing with him and helping he is just doesn't know how I want to deal with it. Chaz thinks I should just let him sleep with us but when he was he was complaining that Charlie hogged the bed, head bunted him and just made it hard to get comfortable. I miss Charlie being right there too but I think it was time and the longer we waited the harder I think it would of been to change. With our new sleeping arrangements we all have a new bedtime routine which includes reading the book Time for Bed by Mem Fox and Charlie then holds the book as he goes to sleep some days resting his head on it. Then I go in after he's asleep and put it up.Last night I heard him talking away and when I went it to put the book up this is how he was... I think he was reading to his Monkey what is also a new must at bed time.

Kids say the darndest things...

This afternoon I took Charlie to the park since the weather was so nice and we might not have another nice day for a while. Well we played, walked around and you know it I took pictures! We spent about an hour at the park. When I put Charlie in the car and started home he said "uh-oh Mommy I'm sleepy" next thing I knew he was sleeping.

Sleepy Boy

Well I guess Charlie's few messedup nights have caught up with him. This Morning while shopping at Wal-mart he fell asleep in the cart. This has only happened once before.

Picture's of Charlie being silly this afternoon

Please slepp tonight...

Well Charlie has been sleeping in his room for naps and bed time for a little over a week last and it had been going pretty good till last night. Well I guess the problem really started yesterday afternoon when he refused to nap. He spend two and half hours in his room but never gave into the sandman. Well then I went out for a game of Bunco with My friends from our Meetup group. When I came home Charlie and Daddy were both sleeping. I was glad to find Charlie in his bed. But he woke up shortly after I got home and Daddy did bring him to our room but I took him out and rocked him a bit them put him back in his bed. All was well until five minutes to one when he woke up and didn't go back down till almost 5. and back up before seven. I am hoping for a much better night tonight.

Something isn't right

Charlie was taking his cloths off and something went wrong when it came to his shirt. He had stuck his arm up the neck hole and it all twisted some how.

Thank You for your service!!

Picking my Battles or just caving?

OK so for a week now Charlie has been going to nap time and bed time in his room... but the last two mornings at 5 AM he has come into our bed and went back to sleep till about 7:30. Both mornings I have tried to put him back in his bed and he just cries and says "no mommy". This morning I even waited for him to go back to sleep then tried moving him and he still woke back up. I don't want to be up at 5 AM but also am liking Charlie sleeping in his room. I am thinking we will eventually stop waking up so he will stay in his room.... I hope!

Fireman's poll

Today at my gym all Charlie wanted to do was slide down the fireman's pole. His Teacher Miss Clarie said that Older toddler won't do that alone, that they put one hand on the pole then call for help. The other teacher Miss Amy told him that she prepares herself all week for his visit. He did have some fun doing some other climbing but always ended up back of at the pole.

Blue Eye's

Here some shot's of Charlie after eating some ice cream, he has such beautiful eyes.

Things Charlie is doing...

I think this is cute and frustrating at the same time... When you ask Charlie where say his juice is he responds with "somewhere". I'm not sure where he got it from!

Charlie can now take his cloths and diaper off at will. He has taken off two piece PJ's and also the one Piece zipper footie one's. But that means we are on the road to potty training right?...

Another thing I noticed last night... Charlie has been asking for awhile "what's that" but last night we were down stairs and Chaz had taken a computer apart and had a bunch of screw's laying on the table and he ask "what's those".

Last one here... This morning I was checking the blog, email and just messing around online when Charlie walked over the picture of him in the plane happen to be on the screen and he told me "Charlie drinking juice and driving airplane"

And if I don't add some Picture's of Charlie then my nephew will be mad so here's Charlie....

Parents as Teachers Curious George Event

PAT host some fun events and they
come up with great themes. You can't
beat the free entertainment for the
kids for an hour or two! I was hoping
they would have someone dressed up as George but no luck. Guess we have to wait till next years PBS picnic in the Park.

Ringling Brothers Circus

Last night we took Charlie to his first Circus. We had great front row seats that had plenty of room for Charlie to stand up and move around. At times it seemed like he was having such a great time and other's he just wanted to "go outside". Not sure if he meant the hallway or outside of the building. But I can understand there were points in the show That I found very boring but I am glad we went It was a great family night out. But we might wait a few years till we go again. I think Charlie and I enjoyed the Elephants the most! Two things that they didn't have they I was surprised by was lions and monkeys.
