Mommy is sleepy...

for some reason Charlie has been waking around 1:30 or 2 in the morning and staying up for 2 - 4 hours then back up at 6:30 or 7. Last night I got 5 hours sleep and he woke at 6:30 and said "all done ... up ...done mama up" I said no more sleep and then he had a fit that bought daddy up from work. Chaz took him and I got a little more sleep... but I sure hope his tooth, growth spurt or what ever passes soon.

Memorial Day

Thank you to all the men and women who
have and are now serving our country!!

Today we pulled out the pool and water park for the first time this year. Dominic , Hanna, and Tory came over to join in the fun.

Last night we had some very nasty storms with some flooding I may go get some pictures of some of the damage tomorrow. But we seen boats washed down the creek and up the road is a volley ball place and they are washed away, fence's washed down I couldn't believe the damage. In our Sub there were three homes that had flooding in their basements. But it sounds like nobody was hurt or killed, Thank the lord. I am wondering about some of our friends who were traveling this weekend. I hope everyone is safe and sound!!

Tomato Soup

Shortly after the video he poured his soup into his milk

and was fishing out gold fish with his finger's

and spoon. But tomato was a hit!!!

This week...

We haven't made it to many play dates. I had a doctor's appointment then had my yearly blood work done (which came back fine) and my first mammogram (which was normal and not even painful like I was expecting from stories I've heard). Plus Huck had he's recheck and he is getting better. Chaz has started building a deck type expansion to our front porch. Today we get to go play at Adam's house and then I am hoping to make it to Costco.

Bumps, Bruise, and a couple Scrapes

Today Charlie had a rough day well it started out OK we went to a couple yard sale down the street and he got a new power wheels Bobcat and two babies then the day of bumps, a bruise,
and scrapes began... he went to his Friend Adam's birthday party where he some how fell and bruised the bridge of his nose, when we came home we were playing outside and he fell over his own feet and scraped his knee and cut his lip, He tried to walk down the blocks meant for Huckleberry and fell scraping his leg (they are now gone!), he bent down to get some rocks in the driveway and scraped his ear and face on a box flap, then the bad Mommy left the shovel laying in the yard and he tripped over it. But he did enjoy his first Push up Ice cream today! I sure hope tomorrow is better. We have Carter's birthday party then we are having a BBQ since Mac is home before he is sent over sea's.

Mind of his own....

While at a Play date
Charlie found
a chair downstairs in the
playroom and decided to drag it
up stairs. I don't know too many
19 month oldsthat can or would
drag a chair up the stairs.

Runny Nose

I am pretty sure Charlie has some allergies since he has a runny nose and watery eyes but is fine other wise. Well when he sneezes I know I have to wipe his nose so I heard him sneeze a couple times so I grabbed a tissue and was headed to his room when I find him in the hallway wiping his nose on the wall. It was cute and disgusting all at the same time.

Trip to Louisville, KY

For Mother's Day weekend we went to Louisville, KY. Our drive
was nice and smooth it was rainy but other then that the miles
went by quickly. We enjoyed a dinner at Joe's Crab Shack
over looking the Ohio River Friday night. Then Saturday we
went to the Zoo. This was the first time we had been to the Zoo since
Charlie started naming animals and making their sounds. He was
very interested in the animals. Sunday was rainy again but we went
to the Science center which was very hands on and Charlie
seemed to really enjoy. He even watch 25 minutes of the
40 minute Imax movie Under The Sea.

Mud Puddle!!!

Charlie jumped in his first Mud Puddle today. It was at Quail Ridge Park, with our Friends from our MeetUp group. His friend Carter showed him what fun it was!!

Bed Hog

I would never think a little 24 lb. boy could eat up so much space on a queen sized bed!! Why in the world when we bought new mattresses we didn't upgrade to a king bed is beyond me.

A picture snapped with my cell phone

Still sick

Charlie still isn't himself the fever is pretty much gone, but he just isn't himself. He was up to 104.9 last night and was very sick. Last night he was waking up at least once ever half hour asking for water and juice. Today is is allot better but I think we have a few more days till he is himself. He did not want to take his medicine at all Chaz and I both had to get a hold on him. I hate doing it but we have to get him to take the medicine.

I wish we knew what was wrong and how to prevent it from happening again.

I found this chart and just never realized what they considered low, moderate and high grade fevers.

Fever classification Grade°F
low grade-100.4–102.2
moderate-102.2–104.0
high-grade-104.0–107.6
hyperpyrexia-107.6"

FEVER!!!!!

Well Charlie hit 104.7 so we got in the car drove to the ER and then took his temp again...(because in the past we get up there and he no longer has a fever) it was down to 103, so we got back in the car and went to pick up some dinner , Charlie fell asleep we decided we weren't hungry so we came home where he is down to 100.4 . All they ever do when we go is give him Motrin and I had just given him some an hour ago. But I told Chaz that we may make that drive again later tonight and he said we might. I wish my Mr. man didn't get such high fever's but we can't change it.

Getting the Medicine down...

Charlie has decided to no longer just take his medicine. It used to be I would just say OK let's go get your medicine and he would head to the bathroom, But now I have to drag him to the bathroom or go get the medicine and hold him, then he will cry and spit it out.

I called the doctor today and our doctor isn't in till tomorrow so I made an appointment for 9 AM. If he had other symptoms I would see someone else in the office but I am 99.9 % sure Dr. Sommer's will tell us to keep up the Motrin/Tylenol and that it's a virus that he will be sick for
7 - 10 days.
