FEVER (103.9)

Well Mr. Man is running a fever today, but that seems to be the only symptom. I wonder why is it some kids get really high fever's and some just seem to get low grade fever's. If hasn't broke by morning I think I will call the doctor.

Been out of touch...

well we had to make an Emergency trip to Michigan. My Nana had blood on her brain and they had to do some surgery and I really thought we were going to lose her but the doctor's say she is holding her own, but will have a long road to recovery.

We're back home now and later today or tomorrow I will post a new picture or two.

Looking all grown up....

I couldn't of asked for a better pose, maybe better lighting and the lady not walking behind him, but he just looked so cute just hanging out at the park.

Monkey Joe's and a walk int the Park.

Yesterday we (Charlie and I (Chaz had to work)) took Katie (14), Miranda(12) and Aurora(10) to Monkey Joe's, we came back here and made pizza's and then we enjoyed a mile long hike at Cuivre River State Park . Monkey Joe's is a Jump place they have 6 or so of those huge inflatable play things.
Charlie and I had went earlier in the week with our MeetUp group and it was OK but more expensive then another one we have been too and Charlie can't do as much on his own. But I figured the girls would like it, Chaz thought Katie might be a little old but they all loved it! While the girls watched "Flushed Away" and Charlie napped I order some of the pictures I had taken earlier at Walgreen's for each of the girls. Then we headed back to Troy when Charlie woke up, the picture's weren't ready so I decided to take a detour to the park to kill some time.

We went for a mile hike and took a bunch of pictures in the woods. Again we all had a great time. I was surprised all the girls enjoyed the hike but I am glad. We picked up Taco Bell on the way to Nila's and I ran into Walgreen's to get the picture's. After we ate I gave them their picture's the were surprised and happy. Then we walked down the street and fed the horse's some apple's, Charlie got to see a horse up close and pet it for the frist time.
We had a very nice day I hope we can do it again sometime.

Spring Time Fun

Not sure what he was thinking but we were at a friends playing,
and Charlie just laid down in the grass and started acting silly.

Earthquake

This morning at 4:37 AM was Charlie's first earthquake and guess what he slept right though it, along with Buddy and Huckleberry who apparently do not have a sixth sense. Chaz was up working and I still can figure out if I was already awake or if the shaking was what woke me. Now back when we went to CA Chaz and I felt one out there but this must of been stronger, I have to see a stronger one because the house sure was shaking!!

Monkey see Monkey do

Well let Charlie see it once and he has to try it. Some of the older kids at the park were doing this trick.

Hair Cut Number 3

Charlie really needed his hair cut, Well I knew it wasn't going to go smoothly when he fell asleep in the car, that means a little nap but not enough to do any good. Well he woke right up when we got there and ever tried to climb into the golf cart seat , then played with the train table for a minute before Jessica was ready for him. But he was unhappy from the second she put the cape around him.

A Horse of the right size???

For Easter Daddy got Charlie a spring Horse ("Buck") well he is a bit too big for Charlie, but each day he gets better at riding it. Well I have a little Rocking horse that some of my Boyds bear sits on, well Charlie decided it was now his rocking horse. It was so darn cute the way he grabbed the bears off and climbed on the horse that is way too small.

Houdini

Today we went to a play date at Paula and Ella's house. Paula has a baby gate at the bottom of the stair so we can just let the kids run around... right.... WRONG!!! Well we were all watching the kids play in the tent and I went looking for Charlie, he is no where to be found Paula says he couldn't of gone far... we can hear him laughing so we know he not hurt any where .... we look under tables, check the bathroom, and I start open cupboard doors. Paula tells me he can get in any of those so we are scratching our heads then we clearly here him laugh from up stairs... .turns out Charlie found away around the gate and is up stairs in Ella's room (which also has a gate at the door) playing her piano. I don't know how he figures these things out, or what motivates him to.

COWS and TACOS

These are Charlie's favorite things right now. If you ask him what he wants to eat it is always a taco! If you are driving and see some cows he will cry when you drive away. The other day we were eating taco's and Chaz told him he was eating cow, I sure hope he realizes in a few years if he tells him that, that we may never get him to eat hamburger again!! Yesterday after a play date and lunch with our friends we stopped by a couple of resale shops and he begged for a cow, but they didn't have any cow toys he did the same thing at Walmart last week. I can't believe or understand how he became such a cow fan. Chaz had thought it was this Wilbur show but he will watch it for like 30 seconds then he's done so I don't think that is it.

Amazement

As I sit here watching Charlie push his shopping cart around the house I found myself thinking about my amazement with him...here is this amazing 18 month old who walks, talks and has those times when know one but Mama will do. Just a few years back I had resigned myself to that it just wasn't meant for Chaz and I to have kids. I sure love my red headed blued eyed little man.

Civic Park

Well this morning we went to a new park with our Meetup group instead of the Zoo (because it is suppose to storm).

It was a very nice park and they have lots of playground equipment!! They park time had to be cut short because it started to rain.

So we went to the Library to play with their train table. Charlie is now napping so I thought I would come add a couple of new picture's.

Sport's Night With Daddy

Last Night PAT (Parents as Teachers) had a Sports night with Dad. They had all kinds of games and play with different balls set up. We were early so Chaz and Charlie walked around play and checking things out. Then at 6:30 the event started and they played with a parachute and the it was time to go to each area and play some more. Well they had a Lady giving temporary tattoo's Daddy headed right over thinking Charlie would think it was neat... Charlie did NOT! He look at the Lady like she was crazy while she gave him the tattoo and did not like it on his arm when she was done, He told us "Bye Bye" and headed for the door.
Chaz brought him back and we tried to interest him in playing with some balls and games but he wanted no part of this event any longer. Then Chaz said he would get a tattoo too, we thought this may get Charlie to realize it was OK. Well he sat and watch Daddy get the Tattoo and was still not trusting this. He kept heading for the door ... so we decided we would just go and get some dinner. We went to a Mexican Restaurant and we where eating chip and salsa waiting for dinner and I guess Charlie had for got about the tattoo for a bit but then he looked at his arm and there it was and he just pointed at it and started Crying. So Daddy took him and washed it off. He was fine after that and enjoyed his taco!!
So I do not think we will try that again for sometime and just maybe this means he won't be one of those kids that like to draw on himself. My little man amazes and scares me everyday!!

Welcome to My Blog

Charlie is now 18 months old and I wish I would of started a Blog a long time ago. Chaz and I have talked about it but then we get busy and don't get around to it. This is a Blog with Google so I think it will work out well... I will show Chaz later today and see what he thinks.

Charlie's Stats
Height 31.5 inches
Weight 24.5 ponds

This past Tuesday Charlie had his 18 month check up, Dr. Sommers said he is in the 25% for height and 50 % for weight.

Charlie has been walking since he was 9 months old , now he just runs!
He knows well over 50 words and is starting to use 2 and 3 words together.
He has 11 teeth and it looks like we will have 3 more any day now.

Today we went to PlayTime Party Center which we LOVE. Charlie has so much fun running around and Climbing the jungle gym thing and then going down the slides. He has no fear of doing this alone, I wounder it that will change as he gets a little older?
